Soul Mining
The process of discovering and exploring unique and melodic emotion from unstructured musical ideas and words.

Writing and recording The Midnite Rum Orchestra’s newest rockbusters.

Recording sessions with Seeking Permission’s Brian Kroening.

Recently completed a 11 song collection of North Country flavored tunes written and recorded by Brian Kroening, Anna Dybdahl and Tony Cerniglia.

I've been writing, recording and producing songs in and out of bands and projects for years. My musical focus has been in the alternative, blues, Dixieland jazz, EDM, pop, rock, rock ballet and country genres.

In my early band days I recorded with Norman Petty, Buddy Holly's producer in New Mexico. I've spent time at Atlantic Studios in New York city and recorded in several Los Angles studios working songs and recording demos. I've performed on Starsearch and played in clubs from coast to coast. I've watched thousands of people sing along to songs that me and my bands wrote and recorded in our basements at Midwest music festivals.

The Soul Miner

I really enjoy the experience of working and developing a song from the moment an idea is born all the way through listening to a finished production. I savor the process of cultivating the music, the melody, the arrangement and the production of a song. Finding the songs soul is what inspires and excites me. Helping people find and discover the soul of their songs is my passion.

Several years ago I put together a private project studio with a friend and fellow band member Steve Johnson. We built a place where our band could rehearse, write and record songs. Overtime it grew into a serious creative space with state of the art recording equipment. A select group of songwriters, collaborators and bands have used our studio privately to work and develop their music.

Today it's open to anyone willing to create, discover and mine their music  and songs.

Take a minute and listen to a few of the tracks here and on the music page. They'll give you a good idea of what I do and what I've been a part of.
